10 Minute Qi-Gong Practice to Start Your Day

Qi Gong offers a simple way to move, breathe and gently wake up your body. When I start my day with this practice my body feels looser and my mind relaxed. Chinese Medicine offers a unique perspective on the body and how organs work together for optimal function. The movements in this practice gently stretch and open all of the acupuncture meridians in the body, improving circulation to all the organs. Organs are classified according to the Five Elements that correspond to the season - Water/Winter, Wood/Spring, Fire/Summer, Earth/Late Summer, Metal/Autumn. As you move, you'll also learn more about the five elements and how to invite balance into your day by seeing mind-body connections more clearly.
